Conference CFP: The Image

We are pleased to announce the Call for Presenters for the Seventh International Conference on the Image. The Image Conference will be held  1-2 September 2016 at the Art and Design Academy, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, UK. We invite proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, colloquia, virtual posters, or virtual lightning talks. Conference Partners

We are honored to have the Institute of Cultural Capital (ICC), Liverpool Biennial, and FaceLab as our partners for the 2016 conference.

The Institute of Cultural Capital (ICC) is a strategic collaboration between the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University which aims to influence policy by informing debate on the value of cultural interventions.

Liverpool Biennial presents a festival of newly commissioned contemporary art from around the world. It takes place over 14 weeks every two years across the city in public spaces, galleries, and online.

FaceLab is a Liverpool School of Art and Design, Liverpool John Moores University research group based in Liverpool Science Park that carries out forensic/archaeological research and consultancy work, including craniofacial analysis, facial depiction, and forensic art.

Proposal Submissions and Deadlines

We welcome the submission of proposals to the conference at any time of the year before the final submission deadline. All proposals will be reviewed within two to four weeks of submission. The dates below serve as a guideline for proposal submission based on our corresponding registration deadlines:

Early Proposal Deadlines – 1 February 2016
Regular Proposal Deadlines – 1 June 2016
Late Proposal Deadlines – 1 August 2016

If you are unable to attend the conference in person, you may present in a Virtual Poster session or a Virtual Lightning Talk. Virtual Sessions enable participants to present work to a body of peers and to engage with colleagues from afar.

As a virtual participant, presenters are scheduled in the formal program, have access to select conference content, can submit an article for peer review and possible publication, may upload an online presentation, and can enjoy Annual Membership to the community and subscriber access to The International Journal of the Image.
